Touch Screen Test
Drag across the entire surface — corners, edges, and the area behind a screen protector are where touch layers fail. Every stroke should follow your finger with no dropped segments.
Click Start, then drag your finger or pen across the whole screen. Dead zones show up as gaps.
How to use this test
Click Start — the test opens fullscreen over this page (nothing is installed, nothing leaves your browser). A control bar at the bottom of the screen lets you switch colors and exit with one tap — touch screens included; the Esc key and your browser's back button work too. Judge the screen in the lighting the test asks for; judging bleed or uniformity in a bright room defeats the test.
Frequently asked questions
My touch has dead zones — can it be fixed?
Digitizer damage is usually a hardware repair. A screen protector that is too thick can also cause it; remove it and re-test.
